Joel Lamore is Professor of English at San Bernardino Valley College and is founder and director of the Inland Empire Poets, a community poetry workshop that has met weekly since 1995. His poetry has appeared in various media.

Author’s Message to Reader
If you have read even one poem on this site, thank you. A poet invests time and attention to create poems, and the poet’s primary profit is the time and attention of the reader. Some readers are used to the ability to “like” or instantly comment on work in a comments section. I find that likes/dislikes are often shallow and instant comments encourage similarly shallow responses. In addition, those interactions are public (with the mostly negative impact that can have).
